HYCROFT HEALING HARMONIES:
a women's musical
series that aspires to enhance

AFRO RHYTHM, SONG &
DANCE
Facilitated by Navaro Franco
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
This first Sunday's musical event will take off
with simple, yet engaging and entrancing rhythmic
harmonies fusing percussion instruments such as
bells, shakers, mbira (thumb piano) and infusing
these rhythms with our voices and gentle dance
movements.
We will be focusing
on the power of rhythm to re-connect with our
inner selves, engage one another through playful
communication with singing chants and songs. As
well, we shall build a deeper sense of community
within our Club as well as our invited guests
and members of the public.
We will also
explore weaving this power of music and movement
to bring healing to our body and psyche &
bring back balance and harmonise with our own
as well as life's natural rhythms.
What better way
to integrate wholeness in our often harried, busy
lives than spending 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon
of mystical music, transformative meditation through
movement and sheer laughter, joy & fun?

water spirals through the cosmos. Join Navaro & Tannis
to dance and vision the union of Sacred Fire and Water,
uniting us with the elemental love and harmony of all

The Community Movement Rituals provide an opportunity
to step out of the pressures of speed and sound that surround
us so we may commune with ourselves and each other in
a sacred space, reflecting deeply on the experiences of

Mana Dance
November's journey
will be inspired by Hawaiian Huna teachings on raising Mana
(life force energy / Spirit) for healing and manifestation.
According to ancient Hawaiian custom, prayers were first
charged by raising Mana with breath and intent. We will
dance tribal movements to open breath, raise Mana, connect
to earth and cosmos, and charge our healing prayers, empowering
them for self and planet.
- ~ Dance to honour the
Earth and yourself as one with Earth
- ~ Deepen into body consciousness
and resonate sacred body and community space.
- ~ Awaken your body's vital
forces and collectively send healing joy and prayers to
living Gaia (Earth).
- ~ Dance intentionally to
break out of limiting trance and open into harmony with
the beauty, power, and grace of your true Nature.
- ~ Pray with your dance,
and be collectively at One in rhythm and healing intent.
Earth Prayers draws upon tribal earth-based traditions

now in the land. They are alive in us. They left no monuments,
here, but they are not erased.....We can hear their voices
in the wind and water, in the soil and trees, in the voices
of the animals....in our own bodies and spirits. When we

rhythms of Earth, we have access to all knowledge, all memory,
all Knowing. Gaia's (Earth's) body is strengthened by our
physical joy, and by our awareness of her as a living, conscious
being. Her strength is our strength. Her health is our children's

work is inspired by Tribal earth based traditions of rhythm,
chant, dance, and ceremony, as well as by many other healing
ecstatic dance practices…with the specific focus of
honoring the Earth and ourselves as One With Earth. This
month we dance at Equinox, the time of The Great Balance.
Our ancestors
expected to be instructed by the Earth and the natural world.
When we slow down and come into resonance with the longer,
deeper rhythms of Earth, we have access to all knowledge,
all memory, all knowing. We will dance to deepen into body
consciousness and resonate into these spaces. We will dance
to awaken our bodies and honour earth, sending our joy and
prayers to living Gaia. We will dance intentionally to break
out of limiting trance and open into harmony with the beauty,
power, and grace of our true Natures.
